The 60 Plus+ Bakery & Cafe of the Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD) was at the Klong Padungkrungkasem Market Fair on 4 November 2016 where it launched its newest bread products. Special guests H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha (Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand) and H.E. Mr. Shiro Sadoshima (Ambassador of Japan to Thailand) were present at the event and interacted with 60 Plus+ Bakery & Cafe staff. The exhibit of the new products was made in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, Thai Yamazaki Co. Ltd. and APCD.

APCD was one of the exhibitors at the Thailand Friendly Design Expo and Exhibit held in Bangkok on 30 November 2016 to 3 December 2016.
In collaboration with the Royal Thai Government and other partners, the Friendly Design for All Foundation organized the 'Thailand Friendly Design Expo 2016' on 30 November 2016 to 3 December 2016 in Nonthaburi, Thailand. The APCD was awarded the 'Friendly Design Building Award 2016' and was one of the exhibitors in the event featuring its various projects and activities in the Asia-Pacific region, as well as the 60 Plus+ Bakery & Cafe products.
The Expo was held to showcase innovations and technology that enhance equality and equity for all and to boost and strengthen the tourism industry for persons with disabilities and the elderly from all over the region. It also aimed at promoting business, trade and investment in products and services for the elderly, recovering patients and persons with disabilities.

Chou University (Japan) Study Tour, Bangkok, Thailand, 2 November 2016

Twenty students from Chuo University in Japan visited the APCD for a study tour on 2 November 2016 to learn more about APCD's activities meant to promote the empowerment of persons with disabilities in Thailand and other Asia-Pacific countries. The visit was also to help the students, through exercises and practical activities, understand APCD and Japan's respective roles in the empowerment of persons with disabilities with a view towards closer international cooperation.

Interaction with the 60 Plus+ Bakery & Cafe staff with disabilities
Thirty-five Thammasat University lecturers and students visited the APCD on 9 November 2016 to get acquainted with APCD's projects and activities that are aimed at empowering Thai persons with disabilities, as well as those in other countries in the Asia-Pacific region. The visitors were given an opportunity to interact and exchange information with the 60 Plus+ Bakery & Cafe staff with disabilities, as well as observe APCD's accessible facilities.

A group from the Shanghai Disabled Persons' Federation was at APCD on 23 November 26 to gather information and knowledge about accessible information from APCD's Information and Knowledge Management Department. They were given a presentation on the types of accessible information APCD produces and shares with its audience and also had an ocular inspection of APCD's accessible training facilities and the 60 Plus+ Bakery & Cafe.
