The 60 Plus+ Bakery & Cafe sales team was present at the 72nd Session of the
 United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP)
 at the UN Conference Centre on 16-17 May 2016. Through the collaboration with ESCAP and Sodexo Thailand which has a partnership with ESCAP, the 60 Plus+ Bakery & Cafe trainees had an opportunity to demonstrate their sales skills learned from the training. 

The 60 Plus+ Bakery & Cafe is to commemorate Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's 60th birth anniversary in 2015. It is implemented by the Asia-Pacific
 Development Center on Disability (APCD) and Thai Yamazaki in collaboration with 
the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) of Thailand, with
support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, the Government of Japan, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the Thai Beverage Co., Ltd. and Nissan Motor (Thailand).

Feedback Workshop of Ex-Post Evaluation on APCD Project Phases 1 and 2,
Bangkok, Thailand, 12-13 May 2016

The feedback workshop of JICA's Ex-Post Evaluation of the APCD Project Phases 1
and 2 was held in Bangkok, Thailand on 12-13 May 2016. The presentation of
results of said evaluation was attended by official representatives from Cambodia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines and Vietnam.

The APCD Project Phases 1 and 2 were held in collaboration with JICA from August 2002 to July 2012.

Brainstorming Meeting on Future Collaboration Between Persons with Psychosocial Disabilities and APCD, Bangkok, Thailand, 3 May 2016

A brainstorming meeting on psychosocial disability was organized by APCD in collaboration with the Association for the Mentally Ill of Thailand (AMITH) and the Thai Family Link Association (TFLA) on 3 May 2016. Future collaboration and activities related to psychosocial disability at the national and international levels were discussed in this meeting.

Psychosocial disability is an emerging group that advocates for inclusion and rights in mainstream society.

Capacity Building Training for Self-Advocacy Group of Persons with Intellectual
Disabilities, Bangkok, Thailand, 28 May 2016

The Dao Ruang Group, in collaboration with APCD, conducted the Dao Ruang Meeting 2016: Capacity Building Training for Self-Advocacy Group of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities in Thailand on 28 May 2016 in Bangkok.

APCD facilitated the establishment of Dao Ruang Group in 2009. Since then, a variety of collaborative activities have been conducted with the Group.

The training, aimed at building the capacities of Thai self-advocates with intellectual disabilities through art painting on handkerchiefs, gathered 16 participants, their parents and supporters to strengthen their  skills in handkerchief painting, to further strengthen the relationship between the Dao Ruang Group and APCD, and to plan for future activities.
