Discussion among Local Partner
Discussion among Local Partners

The “Community for All” Project by the Centro Italiano Aiuti all’infanzia (CIAI) and APCD has finally selected six Sub-district Administrative Organizations (SAOs) in Nakorn Si Thammarat for its target areas. In addition, the Project recruited an Operation Specialist for the province in a series of consultative meetings on 18-21 November 2013. The Project aims to promote a barrier-free society in four provinces: Kanchanaburi; Nakorn Sri Thammarat; Phayao and Sisaket.

The six SAOs has included Pakpoon, Tasak, Parknakon, Nasai, Khampeng, and Tangew. Apart from meetings with local governments and Disabled People’s Organizations (DPOs) and local service providers, APCD also surveyed existing service organizations that exist in the province, all of which were very supportive of the CIAI-APCD Project.

A Memorandum of Agreement was signed between Nakorn Sri Thammarat stakeholders and the Project. A needs assessment and consultative meeting for persons with disabilities will also be conducted in near future.
